Breast Augmentation Aesthetics
Breast augmentation is an aesthetic procedure performed to change the breast size and shape of women. It is usually performed using silicone or saline-filled implants. Breast augmentation surgery can help women achieve a fuller and proportional appearance by changing the size and shape of their breasts. Suitable candidates for breast augmentation surgery are women who think their breast size is small, have lost their breast volume due to factors such as birth, breastfeeding or aging, or have asymmetrical breast sizes. However, candidates for breast augmentation should be healthy, undergo a pre-surgical examination, and understand the risks and benefits of the surgery.
Breast augmentation surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and the surgeon inserts the implant by making a small incision under the breast, around the nipple or under the armpit. The location of the implant, the type and size of the implant are agreed with the patient before surgery. The surgical procedure usually takes 1-2 hours and patients are usually discharged on the same day.
The recovery period after surgery differs from person to person, but there may be mild discomfort and swelling, which usually lasts for a few days. It is recommended to avoid heavy physical activities in the first week after surgery and normal activities can be returned within a few weeks. In the first few months, the implants will fall into place and the healing process will be completed. Among the risks of breast augmentation surgery are risks such as infection, bleeding, implant leakage, tissue hardening (capsular contracture) in cases that require implant replacement. However, with a correct surgical procedure, appropriate implant selection and a good healing process, a fuller and proportional appearance can be achieved after breast augmentation surgery.
